It seems that I don't often like book series with primary female protagonists, especially in urban fantasy. I just read over at Bloodlines that Tanya Huff has said that she probably won't write a fourth Smoke book, because they didn't sell that well.

I am very disappointed. I love those books, and the third one was the best one yet. I mean, come on. How can you go wrong with a plot that revolves around ( cut for spoilers )

I've been very suspicious of the lavish praise heaped on "Eclipse", by Stephanie Meyer, since that effusive praise generally comes from people who read those annoying supernatural romances. So imagine the gratification, when I read this in Tanya Huff's blog:
